Civil and Commercial Mediation
The fees below are based on a commercial or civil mediation where the total value of the dispute can be quantified.
For commercial and civil disputes where there is not a financial implication, or where a more complex matter exists within the dispute which may extend the usual time allocation, fees will be based on an 'allocation of time' basis.
The fees below include all case preparation time required but does not include overtime or venue costs.
Times of the actual mediation may vary due to the approach of the participants.
* Collis Mediation Ltd assesses in advance whether disputes under £15'000 would most likely be resolved in one to three hours, dependant on complexity and approach by the parties. Where a one to three hour rate is appropriate, the matter will most likely be facilitated via our 'Connect Mediation' service (a combination of email, phone and video based correspondence). Please see more about Connect Mediation here.
** All mediations have the facility to be extended past the allotted mediation time, with the agreement of both parties and the mediator, through our overtime rates and overtime agreement. This will be openly discussed at the mediation if the need arises and overtime rates are included in the 'Letter of Appointment', prior to signing the 'Agreement to Mediate'.
*** Fees can be paid by a single party, by a pre-agreement with the parties. Collis Mediation Ltd must be advised of any deviation from an equal payment by each party to ensure accurate Agreements to Mediate are drawn up.
